Beatriz Puente Espada, M.D., M.S., MHA, AME, is the 2026 winner of the Admiral John C. Adams Award. She receives the award for over 25 years of transformative leadership and innovation in operational aerospace medicine. Her visionary contributions in flight medicine, aeromedical evacuation, human factors, accident investigation, and international interoperability have advanced aircrew safety, mission effectiveness, and global aeromedical standards. She has profoundly strengthened Spanish Air Force and NATO capabilities, addressing health and safety challenges faced by aviation personnel during flight operations and exemplifying excellence, dedication, and enduring impact.
