The Journal Covers Many Related Disciplines:
- Aviation, space, and environmental medicine;
- Case reports in clinical aviation, space, and environmental medicine;
- Private, commercial, and military aviation medicine;
- Medical problems for crews in high performance aircraft or in manned space travel;
- Occupational medicine;
- Flight safety; and
- Environmental and life support systems involving performance, acceleration, deceleration, weightlessness, radiation, bioinstrumentation, etc.
Article types include Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications, Technical Notes, and Case Reports. Other regular features are published at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief, including Letters to the Editor, Book Reviews, Commentaries, Historical Notes, and Aerospace Medicine Clinic Articles (formerly You’re the Flight Surgeon).

Subscriptions begin the month following receipt of payment and include the full archive from 1929 to present day.

Legacy Print Subscriptions
As of August 1, 2025, all expiring print or print + online subscriptions will be renewed as online-only subscriptions. However, we will honor legacy print subscriptions through July 31, 2026.
